She wanted to go bowling to celebrate!Riley took her on their (now has become traditional) birthday photo shoot!
SUNRISE SUNSET
SUNRISE SUNSETLet's all sing together...
Is this the little girl I carried?
I don't remember growing older
When did they?
When did she get to be a beauty?
When did she grow to be so tall?
Wasn't it yesterday
When they were small?
Sunrise, sunset
Sunrise, sunset
Swiftly flow the days
Seedlings turn overnight to sunflowers
Blossoming even as we gaze
Sunrise, sunset
Sunrise, sunset
Swiftly fly the years
One season following another
Laden with happiness and tears
What words of wisdom can I give them?
How can I help to ease their way?
I don't remember growing older
When did they?
When did she get to be a beauty?
When did she grow to be so tall?
Wasn't it yesterday
When they were small?
Sunrise, sunset
Sunrise, sunset
Swiftly flow the days
Seedlings turn overnight to sunflowers
Blossoming even as we gaze
Sunrise, sunset
Sunrise, sunset
Swiftly fly the years
One season following another
Laden with happiness and tears
What words of wisdom can I give them?
How can I help to ease their way?

Wow!! She looks so old and grown up! What a fun tradition to have a photo shoot on your birthday. The only wisdom to give them is to follow God, not man. Everything always works out for the best.
Oh my goodness, these kids are growing up so fast! What happened to that itty bitty girl who walked into my living room in Galveston and became an extension of our home? Sigh. Missing you too much, sweet friend.

Lovely poem, full of natural Momma concerns. Thankful that God guides us, huh? Glad to see I'm not alone in some of my worries. We mothers do share a special kinship. Keep writing. You have a nice blog! I put mine down for a bit but was encouraged by a friend to keep going. Thanks for the good word today.
